The slot car racing he says is what helps him make it through the day. When he was growing up all he ever wanted for Christmas or his birthday was more slot cars. Now his obsession is what he uses for therapy.

The good part about the hobby he says is that no one gets an injury. There are no muscle pulls or strained ligaments. Everyone simply has fun. He allows anyone into his home who is a genuine enthusiasts of the race car.

He says it is not only great therapy but no one gets hurt. There are no hamstring pulls or pulled groin muscles. Everyone has fun and new men are joining his racing club weekly.

Of course it is the grown men taking up the hobby. The kids today lean towards the video games. They find killing enemies and destroying countries a lot more fun on their video screen than racing slot cars.

If grown men are still playing with cars then there must be something special about the race cars. But today most kids do not want the same experience. Which is too bad. Perhaps kids do not want to deal with the upkeep and storage of the slot cars. Or perhaps they would rather stare at a computer video game screen instead of learning how to handle the tight curves and corners of the slot car race track. But one thing is for sure the skill you need to race slot cars is a skill that is dying out.

There is the skill level you cannot get anywhere with no other hobby. And there must be something neat about the whole experience if grown men come back to their youthful days of keeping their cars in good running condition. They have to store their race cars and protect them from damage. Perhaps this is too much work for the video game players of today.
