When children get older they put a lot more strain on their parents in order to buy them things. Kids get the pressure because their friends probably have the biggest and best stuff. But is is right to keep purchasing your kids big and wonderful things? A lot of parents go out and buy their kids new cars as soon as they turn 18. Let us take a quick glance at why this could be something bad.

By buying your kids everything they want they are learning to become reliant on you. i have come acrosspeople that are in their mid-thirties and mid-forties that are even living at home with their parents. You may well be asking why? I can tell you precisely why, it’s simply because these people have learnt to have an easy life, there parents have probably bought them everything and anything and done everything for them including cooking their meals and cleaning their rooms.

I have personally always thought that kids should have to work for what they want and earn it, this way they value money a lot more and probably take a huge amount of care to their item including their car. The people that actually get given a car as soon as they turn 18, do not really care about the vehicle in the slightest, they drive around dangerously and end up smashing the car. On another occasion people that have worked hard to get their money will drive their vehicles with care and attention.

So although buying your kids some of the best items around, it will not make them respect you any better. in some ways they will in all likelihood end up treating you even worse.
